Ziare.com: Eugeniu Baltag (Purcari) at Quarterly Report 3: ‘In 2023, we were among the top 4 performers on the BVB’

Eugeniu Baltag, the Investor Relations Director at Purcari Wineries, attended the third edition of the Quarterly Report on March 6, an event hosted by Ziare.com, alongside the main partner TradeVille, where he discussed the company’s performance, providing very important information for investors.

Eugeniu Baltag first highlighted some of the company’s strengths, with a history spanning 200 years, six winemaking centers in three countries, and astonishing diversity. He also reviewed relevant figures and results. For instance, in 2023, the net profit reached 60 million lei.

“When we talk about Purcari, we are talking about 200 years of winemaking.” Within our group, there are six wineries located in three different countries: the Republic of Moldova, Romania, and Bulgaria. At the same time, we are very diversified. We have over 1450 hectares of vineyard spread across seven different areas and sell our wine in over 40 countries around the world.

I will gradually move to one of our competitive advantages, focusing on the last seven years in terms of figures, starting from the pre-listing period – on February 15, 2018, we listed on the BVB, and our revenues have increased sixfold from 2017 to the present. Practically, we reached 369 million RON in 2023. On the other hand, it’s very important to have revenue, to make sales, but especially to make profitable sales, and here we have also excelled. EBITDA has increased ninefold, reaching 99 million RON in 2023, and net profit reached 60 million RON,” said Eugeniu Baltag on the stage of the #1 event for companies at the BVB.
