Founded in 1827, Château Purcari is the most awarded wine producer in the Central and Eastern Europe region at Decanter London, as well as among the highest-rated on Vivino, with an average score of 4.1 out of 5.0.

Château Purcari wines are crafted from high-quality grapes, carefully cultivated in our vineyards located in the IGP Ștefan Vodă region. The winemaking process involves only the highest-quality oenological materials and is closely monitored by experienced personnel, as well as wine production consultants.

Thanks to efforts to become the most prestigious wine exporter in the country, Château Purcari has markets in over 25 countries across Europe, North America, and East Asia, including the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, the Czech Republic, China, Poland, Germany, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey, Japan, Luxembourg, the Baltic states, and more.

Academia Purcari, our most ambitious project to date, is a collection of premium wines that unveil the identity and strong character of local wines. The result of centuries of experience and ongoing research on the Purcari terroir, along with the congruence of bold experiments, Academia Purcari is a collection of wines created following the absolute rules of nature: sun, water, soil, with vinification and aging in clay amphorae and a brief rest in oak barrels.

Vinohora is a collection of wines that combines a native grape variety with an international one. Maluri de Prut was launched to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the „Podul de flori” between Moldova and Romania – a historic moment for both countries. Two grape varieties are used: Fetească Neagră from Romania and Rară Neagră from Moldova. Freedom Blend was created as a manifesto, an expression of the free spirit, a bold blend of three indigenous grape varieties: Saperavi, Rara Neagra, and Bastardo. It has the heart of Georgia, the terroir of Moldova, and the free spirit of Ukraine.

The grapes for Native Wines are grown in the vineyards of Purcari, on a 25 ha plot where environmentally, biodiversity, and soil fertility friendly agrotechnics are applied. Modern equipment, from presses to thermally controlled fermenters, is one of the key factors contributing to the quality of Purcari wines.
